Masai Mara

Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most popular safari destination. Over 70% of Kenya’s visitors on safari visit the Maasai Mara.
It is largely a wildlife safari destination, world-renowned for the annual wildebeest migration from across the neighbouring Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. This has been described as the biggest wildlife spectacle on earth, the eighth wonder of the world, etc.

The reserve is teeming with prides of lions and other large cats and was the setting for the BBC World Cat Diaries Also easily seen are herds of elephants, Maasai giraffes, hyenas, birds of prey and a host of other iconic species.

Maasai Mara reserve is a component of a large ecosystem made of another half called the Greater Mara Ecosystem. This one is constituted of wildlife and livestock conservancies which also hold large populations of wildlife and which decongest Mara reserve with visitors by offering unique and exclusive safari products for the discerning traveler.
