This update is for first-time travelers to Kenya
BEFORE TRAVELING TO KENYA
Online e-Visa Application
* Visas are not available on arrival to Kenya. All visitors requiring Visa to
enter Kenya must apply online prior to travel on this link www.evisa.go.ke .
Recommendation to apply for an e-visa at the earliest possible, latest 7
days to travel.
* Some countries do not require a visa to enter Kenya. Please look at
Kenya Visa Waiver Program | Kenya Visa-Free Countries
(kenyanevisa.com) . Note, however, that this may change from time to time
and it is safer to check with your country of origin
Covid – 19 Requirements
* All arriving passengers into the country are required to be in possession of
a COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Travellers no longer need to upload
PCR Test Certificates / Vaccination Certificates to the Global Haven
platform. Verification of requirements will be done via a hard copy or
electronic copy.
* All travelers above the age of 12 years arriving into the country through
any point of entry will be required to show proof of either COVID-19
vaccination or a negative PCR test conducted not more than 72 hours
before departure.
* Travelers below the age of 12 years shall be exempted from the
requirements of a vaccination certificate or PCR test.
* Any traveler above the age of twelve (12) arriving at any point of entry with
no proof of vaccination or a PCR test or those with flu-like symptoms shall
be subjected to a rapid antigen test at their own cost of 30 USD. Any
person who tests positive on antigen RDT will be subjected to an entry
PCR test at their own further cost of 50 USD and self-isolate as per
Ministry of Health guidelines on isolation.
* From 01 September 2022 travelers are no longer required to fill in the
passenger locator form on the Jitenge Platform unless they are suffering
from flu-like symptoms. Those with flu-like systems will also be required to
take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at their own cost.

* Wearing masks is no longer mandatory but is highly recommended for use
in enclosed spaces
BEFORE DEPARTING KENYA
* Passengers traveling out of the country will be required to abide by the
particular travel, health and COVID-19-related requirements of the transit
and destination country.
* Pre-departure RDT or PCR testing may be considered at the discretion of
any of the airlines departing from Kenya.
* Various International airlines have their regulations concerning Covid-19
travel regulations and are changing from time to time hence we
recommend guests check requirements with their booked airline ahead of
time.
DEPARTING KENYA
* Kenya does not require a COVID-19 negative test at departure. However,
it may be a requirement for your onward destination or the airline you will
be using and we recommend consulting with your airline ahead of travel.
